INNERSUAQ

The Greenland Film Award / Innersuaq 

Voted only by members of FILM.GL the Greenlandic Film Award/Innersuaq is awarded to a person or a company that has contributed significantly to Greenlandic film or the Greenlandic film community during the past year, be it a film or any film related work. Awarded each year since 2013. The word Innersuaq literally translates to “the great fire”, a term borrowed from Inuit mythology describing the spirits that help and guide us from beyond. The award is usually handed out during Nuuk International Film Festival in September of each year.
